A phororhacos, or sword beak, was a 6-foot tall, flightless bird having small wings and very large hind legs, that lived during the Miocene period. This extinct bird was a meat eater, and ran down its prey, often reaching great speeds across flat ground. The phororhacos had a large curved beak that could easily trap prey and snap through flesh and bone.nnSpecifications:nn1:1 scalenHigh-quality polyurethane resinnnSkull Length 38 cm (14.9 in.)nSkull Width 15.2 cm (6 in.)nSkull Height 10.2 cm (4 in.)nnPlease note: This item is a theoretical reconstruction based on scientific interpretation.
