Behind every specimen we ship is a team of people who are genuinely obsessed with the natural world. We are scientists, artists, educators, and collectors — united by a shared belief that bones are one of the most beautiful and important things on earth. This is us.
President & Founder
Jay founded Skulls Unlimited in 1986 with a single beetle colony, a borrowed freezer, and an idea that the world needed a better osteological supplier. Four decades later, he is widely regarded as the foremost authority on commercial skull cleaning in North America. He still checks every A-quality specimen before it ships.
VP of Operations
Kim manages the day-to-day operations of Skulls Unlimited with a precision that matches the standards of the specimens we ship. From supplier coordination to customer service policy, if it involves keeping this business running at its best, Kim is the person responsible for it.
Head of Processing
Marcus has run the processing lab for over fifteen years. He oversees our dermestid colonies, maceration tanks, and degreasing operation with a level of care that most people reserve for surgery. If a specimen comes out of our lab in perfect condition, it's because Marcus made sure of it.
Replica Production Manager
Sarah leads our replica production team. With a background in fine arts and a Master's in Biological Illustration, she brings an exacting eye to the molding, casting, and finishing process. Every museum-quality replica that leaves our facility has passed Sarah's final inspection.
Procurement Specialist
Devon manages our global supplier network — the hunters, trappers, zookeepers, wildlife managers, and food producers who provide us with legally obtained material. Devon ensures every supplier meets our ethical sourcing standards before a single specimen reaches our facility.
Catalog & Taxonomy Specialist
Lydia is our in-house zoologist. Every scientific name, species description, and anatomical note in our catalog has been written or reviewed by Lydia. She takes the accuracy of our catalog entries as personally as a museum curator would take their exhibition labels.
Shipping & Fulfillment Lead
Tyler runs our fulfillment operation. He and his team pack hundreds of specimens a week — and every package is prepared as if the specimen is going to a natural history museum. Which, very often, it is.
Customer Relations
Angela is the first person most customers talk to, and she sets the tone for everything that follows. She has a deep personal knowledge of our catalog — collectors, professors, and surgeons alike trust her to help them find exactly the right specimen for their needs.
Our showroom in Munising, Michigan is open to the public. Whether you want to browse the collection in person, discuss a custom order, or talk through a skull cleaning project, we'd love to meet you face to face.
