Amphimachairodus giganteus was a large, prehistoric sabertooth cat that lived during the late Miocene, around 9 to 5 million years ago. It was one of the largest machairodonts, resembling a mix between modern big cats and later sabertooths, with elongated, serrated canine teeth adapted for precision killing. Likely an ambush predator, it hunted large herbivores across open woodlands and grasslands of Eurasia and Africa. Its extinction was likely driven by climate change and competition with evolving carnivores.nnSpecifications:nnHigh-quality polyurethane resin cast.n1:1 scalen1-part skull (cranium and jaw cast as one piece)nSkull Length 36 cm (14.2 in.)nSkull Width 19.1 cm (7.5 in.)nSkull Height 17.3 cm (6.8 in.)nnProduct of Bone ClonesnPlease be advised that this product is made to order and will require additional lead time.
